I remember the skating rink. It was on Lalor Street. Trentons youth today don't want to have clean fun. They would prefer to sniff glue, smoke weed, shoot up, etc., etc. Roam the streets in 'wolf' packs. Trenton is done. Close it up.

Are you kidding?!? I'll stop just THIS short of completely agreeing with Anyonymous' assessment of Trenton's youth, but he's definitely on to something.

Anybody remember all the problems at the Kendall Park rink? You know, in affluent South Brunswick? Yeah, riiiiight.

This city already has myriad venues for its miscreant youth to engage in meaningless violence over complete nonsense, and other antisocial behaviors.

Besides, Trenton doesn't have the money to pay the PD to referee/clean up after the brawl/riot that would most certainly occur on a regular basis.

BACK IN THE DAY THE SKATING RINK WAS FUN...NO FIGHTS...NO GANGS...JUST FUN. BUT NOW IT WON'T BE LIKE THAT. THIS TOWN HAS GONE TO THE GANGS! YOU CAN'T HAVE ANY FUN ANYMORE NOT HERE...YOU MIGHT GET SHOT OR CUT JUST FOR SMILING.

I remember the skating rink, and back in the day that was the spot to be. Having Fun where people respected themselves and each other for the most part. If there was a fight it was fair. NOW!!!!!!!!! Please, that would be known as the killing grounds of our youths and everyone would be strapped because of someone else, the gangs would definetly be there to make there presence known,(which is not a bad idea, hmmmm)just to start some shit. At least they could be identified.

The Trentonian is an inhumane and mentally cruel place to work. Anyone who buys the newspaper or buys ads in the newspaper is supporting a company that threatens and verbally abuses its employees. If there was another company out there that treated its employees as bad poorly as the Trentonian does, the Trentonian would do a big story on how terrible that company was and they'd stick it on the front page. Employees as the Trentonian are called names, told how awful they, forced to sit in broken chairs, and made to use bathrooms that have bugs and are rarely cleaned.

Considering how poorly most of the "staff writers" treat the English language, I would say they're treated too kindly by management.

I agree with Mr. Clean. Most of the folks who write for the paper are so smart that they have two brains; one's lost and the other one is out looking for it.

What the hell happened to Trenton? I'd hate to be "an abuser to the english language" but this is bullshit. Families are victim to Gangs taking over "Our" streets and the most our community paper can do is bitch at each other. That gives so much false hope to the one's that live here and can't leave due to finacial hardships. I grew up in this town and danger has always learked. However, back in the day we had strong families and leaders that held this city down. If no one has anything positive to bring to the table they should just step the fuck off.

Huh? How does a newspaper "bitch at each other?"

So, you expect a newspaper to solve this problem? Good luck with that. You probably expect the government to do everything for you, too - how's THAT working out for ya?

The generation is broken beyond repair; it's as simple as that. I wish this weren't the case, but here we are.
